Microsoft Releases Free Photo 'Stitching' Tool

I saw this over at BBC a few weeks back. Microsoft has just released Group Shot, a tool that "creates a composite image from a series of photos". Now you can "stitch" two pictures together without using commercial image editing software tools like Photoshop.

PR purists will hail this as yet another PR triumph for Alex Tew and/or Eliger Kliger, the eBay auction winner for the last 1,000 pixels on Tew's Million Dollar Homepage site. Skeptics see this as yet another attempt at resurrecting a story on its way to archive heaven.
